Advancements in Breast Imaging at 07:00 PM IST

A comprehensive 1 hours session on “Advancements in Breast Imaging” was organized by ‘Global associations of physicians of Indian Origin’ (GAPIO) in collaboration with Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA) and Indian College of Radiology & Imaging (ICRI) under GAPIO – ICRI International Synergy Series on a virtual platform.

Reputed well known speakers Dr. Manisha Bahl, Associate professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School has delivered a talk on “Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Breast Imaging for Early Detection of Breast Cancer”, Dr. Niketa Chotai, Chairperson – Singapore Radiological Society Breast Subsection has delivered a talk on “Role of Contrast Enhanced Mammography in Early Detection of Breast Cancer” and Dr. Shilpa Lad, MD, Radiology, NM Medical, Mumbai has delivered a talk on “Breast MRI as a Problem Solving Tool”.

Dr. Dilip Lakhkar, Past Vice President, IRIA has done the opening remarks.

Dr. Vinita Sharan, Advisor Radiology CMEs, GAPIO and Associate Professor, San Beda College of Medicine, Philippines and Public Health Consultant was the moderator and Dr. Bhupinder Sandhu, Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Bristol Royal Hospital, UK, and Dr. Ramesh Sarin, Consultant, Surgical Oncology, Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi were the Chairpersons during the session.

The session was followed by 10 minutes question and answer round.
