Executive Committee of GAPIO has constituted four categories of GAPIO awards

GAPIO LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
GAPIO LEADERSHIP AWARD
GAPIO EMERGING YOUNG LEADERS AWAR
GAPIO SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD

Criteria for GAPIO Awards

The GAPIO Service Excellence Award shall be given to members of GAPIO who contribute in taking forward the objectives and policies of GAPIO by enrollment of new members.

The following criteria shall be taken into consideration for the award:

  • Enrollment of 10 or more members.
  • He/she should be a member of GAPIO in good standing.
  • Period from 1st November to 31st October each year shall be considered for enrolling new members.

The GAPIO Emerging Young Leaders Award shall be given to young and aspiring leaders who demonstrate excellence and exemplary leadership qualities in various spheres of their professional arena and actively participate in GAPIO activities.

The following criteria shall be taken into consideration for the award:

  • The nominee should be less than the age of 40 years as on 31st October.
  • He / She should have actively participated in organizing the community service projects for GAPIO.
  • Excellence and contribution to academics, research and innovations.
  • He / She should be a member of GAPIO in good standing.

The GAPIO Leadership Award shall be given to the persons who demonstrate exemplary leadership in helping GAPIO.

The following criteria shall be taken into consideration for the award:

  • The nominee should have organized at least two free camps for GAPIO or a project or a conference.
  • Period from 1st November to 31st October each year shall be considered for organizing free camps or a project or a conference
  • He / She should be a member of GAPIO in good standing.

The GAPIO Lifetime Achievement Award shall be given to an outstanding doctor to recognize his/her exceptional contributions to healthcare throughout his/her career.

The following criteria shall be taken into consideration for the award:

  • The nominee should be a well-known scholar, researcher, clinician or academician.
  • He / She should have at least 35 years of experience in the healthcare.
  • He / She should have demonstrated outstanding leadership in India or overseas.
  • He / She should have contributed towards public awareness on healthy living or made a significant contribution to improve social services and general public health, improving quality of life in the community.

Dr. B. C. Roy Award, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan Award or other international awards will be an added qualification.

GAPIO awards is an annual feature and Executive Committee of GAPIO has planned to give away these prestigious awards in the above categories at
forthcoming VIII Annual conference of GAPIO to be held on 6th and 7th January 2018 at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, Mumbai.

Independent Jury / Committee will decide the awards. Decision of the Jury / Committee will be final.
